Meet Sarah Lily Resanovich, our new REWRITER

We are thrilled to welcome Sarah Lily Resanovich, who has joined REWRITE as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Essex to explore the social and cultural dimensions of rewilding.

Sarah’s work in REWRITE will focus on governance and a multi-country survey investigating how people understand and perceive rewilding strategies, helping us better understand the factors that influence their acceptance.

Sarah is currently completing her PhD in Social Psychology at the University of Kent’s Centre for the Study of Group Processes. Her research brings together social, environmental, community and organisational psychology to investigate what drives pro-environmental behaviour and support for environmental policies.

Through her PhD, Sarah has used both qualitative and quantitative methods to study public support for local environmental policies, develop a context-specific environmental knowledge scale and explore how environmentally sustainable leadership can be fostered. She also brings experience in field behaviour studies, air quality research and academic publishing, having worked as Senior Managing Editor of the journal Group Processes and Intergroup Relations.

We’re happy to welcome Sarah to the REWRITE team and look forward to seeing how her research will help us better understand the human dimensions of coastal rewilding!
