Meet REWRITE researchers! Say hello to Dr Erica Terese Krueger

A native of southeast Florida, Erica's passion for the ocean began early. She recently completed her PhD in Geology from Trinity College Dublin, focusing on cold-water corals in the Northeast Atlantic. She also holds an MSc in Environmental Science and a BSc in Marine Science with a Minor in Geology from Florida Gulf Coast University.

Erica's motivation to join REWRITE comes from her background in coastal environments and oceanic-atmospheric interactions. Her previous experience in oyster restoration and estuarine ecosystems makes her ideal for REWRITE's research on climate change mitigation, adaptation, and coastal flood protection.

In addition to her research, Erica has been actively involved in science communication. She shares scientific developments on social media and engages in public outreach to educate the public on ocean literacy and critical climate issues.
