Say hello to Dr. Hajar Saad El Imanni!

Our latest, great addition to REWRITE project!

Pioneering Remote Sensing Research to Understand Coastal Ecosystems' Carbon Contributions
Say hello to Dr. Hajar Saad El Imanni!

Introducing Dr. Hajar Saad El Imanni: Our New Post-Doctoral Researcher at REWRITE!

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Hajar Saad El Imanni, a distinguished PhD in remote sensing, to the REWRITE team as a post-doctoral researcher. Dr. El Imanni’s research focuses on the critical task of linking carbon fluxes, specifically Gross and Net Primary Production, with advanced remote sensing techniques to map the spatial and temporal contributions of coastal ecosystems to the Global Carbon Budget.

Dr. El Imanni’s academic journey is deeply rooted in remote sensing and environmental geomatics. She earned her MSc in Environmental Geomatics and completed her PhD in Geomatics and Precision Agriculture at Sultan Moulay Slimane University in Morocco. Her doctoral research was groundbreaking, integrating multi-sensor Earth observation data, including optical and radar satellites and drones, to monitor environmental changes accurately.

Her expertise extends beyond her doctoral work. At the National Council of Research in Italy, Dr. El Imanni made significant contributions by analyzing models to estimate Gross Primary Production (GPP) at small scales using cutting-edge remote sensing technologies.

Dr. El Imanni's passion for remote sensing and her innovative approach to environmental research make her a valuable asset to the REWRITE project. We are excited to see the advancements she will bring to our understanding of coastal ecosystems and their role in the global carbon cycle.

Feel free to connect with Dr. El Imanni at Hajar.saadelimanni@univ-nantes.fr. She’s always eager for a remote sensing adventure and collaboration!
